The Polaris Studio suites are located in the bulkhead of the two business-class cabins and offer an elevated travel experience with enhanced privacy via sliding doors and roomier spaces for solo travelers or companions. Each suite features a 27-inch 4K OLED screen — the largest among U.S. carriers — wireless charging, Bluetooth audio, and digital seat controls. Stylish quartzite tables, a wool-blend seat finish, and wood-grain accents add to the suite’s sophisticated design.

Polaris Studio passengers will also enjoy exclusive perks like hoodie-style pajamas, noise-canceling headphones, Perricone MD amenity kits, and gourmet dining options, including an osetra caviar amuse-bouche, Laurent-Perrier Cuvee Rose Champagne, and custom preorder entrée selections. On the ground, guests gain access to premium check-in areas and surprise tarmac transfers. While United Airlines has yet to release pricing details, Polaris Studio is expected to carry a separate fare from standard Polaris seats.

Enhanced Comfort Across Cabin Classes

Beyond Polaris Studio, United is refreshing its entire premium and economy cabins as part of the Elevated cabin experience. The updated Polaris business-class suites now include sliding privacy doors and improved configurations tailored to solo or paired travelers. A total of 56 Polaris pods will be installed on the new Dreamliners — eight more than the current 787-9 layout.

New features include 19-inch Bluetooth-enabled 4K screens, four charging options per seat, and a revamped Panasonic Astrova entertainment system. Travelers will benefit from upgraded dining, with rotating regional menus, enhanced wine offerings, new desserts, and a grab-and-go snack bar between meals. However, one notable change is the removal of bassinets in Polaris, which may affect families traveling with infants.

United Airlines is also expanding its Premium Plus offering, featuring 35 reclining seats arranged in a 2-3-2 layout. Launch Timeline and Future Plans

United Airlines’ Elevated Cabins will debut in early 2026 on routes from San Francisco to Singapore, with service to London to follow. United has ordered 140 new Boeing 787s, and the first batch of 787-9s featuring these cabins will be based in San Francisco. At least 30 of the new aircraft are expected to be delivered by 2027.

While United Airlines has not confirmed whether existing aircraft will be retrofitted with these upgrades, it has indicated that older Boeing 767s are not part of the plan.
